CASE STUDY

ET Clarke McMaster University Cooling Tower Replacement

Riverson Scaffolding engineered watertight hoarding for a complex roof demolition and steel installation, protecting critical infrastructure beneath, including a powerhouse and hospital circuitry.

Project Details

Provide watertight scaffold hoarding during demolition of existing roof for reinforcement of structural steel and installation of new cooling tower structural steel. Project required several phases and extensive engineering to allow for 100×80’ hoarding while transferring clear span loads over existing roof. This was a project on critical infrastructure as below the roof was the powerhouse with circuitry for the neighbouring hospital and mini nuclear reactor.
